Rory Jenkins

Rory is a solicitor (England & Wales) with over 25 years of commercial law expertise. He focuses on insurance, mergers and acquisitions as well as a variety of sports matters.

He played rugby at an elite level for England on the international stage, as well as for Harlequins, Wasps and London Irish at club level.

A mechanical engineering undergraduate from the University of Cambridge, Rory moved into law and qualified with Herbert Smith in 1997. He has a Masters qualification in insurance law and international tax law.

Commerical

Rory provides commercial legal advice on non-contentious and contentious matters. He has considerable experience with business acquisitions, sales and investment deals as well as joint venture and collaboration arrangements.

His work entails end to end deal procurement and corporate advisory - hand in hand with investors and clients.

Rory has a wealth of experience with international commerce and is adept at advising on disputes relating to insurance, professional negligence, reinsurance coverage and debtors/creditors insolvency claims. He is familiar with arbitration and court litigation at the highest levels.

Rory works closely with various family offices in business M&A investments in technology, precious metals and mining businesses amongst others. Rory enjoys working with start-up / scale ups in tech sector and has advised companies on trading systems and real time analytics solutions in the financial and gaming industries. Rory has also worked with internationally renowned virtual assets exchange trading platforms.

Rory is a board advisor to a gold and precious metals business operating in Cyprus, London and throughout Africa. Their remit is to digitize physical metals from ground to cloud.

Previously, Rory was a partner with Harwell Capital - a technology Venture Capital investor.

Sports

Rory was a triple blue at university – in rugby, cricket and athletics. As a former professional sportsman, he understands the concerns and needs of athletes as well as clubs, federations and regulators. He provides advice to individuals, owners as well as national authorities on governance.

Due to his commercial background – he utilizes this to maximise advantage with sponsorship, image rights, media and broadcasting contracts for clients.

Rory is an advocate of health and wellbeing. He has a deep interest in nutritional health supplementation and champions Autistica and Lords Taverners charities – assisting adults and children with special needs.
