Stylianos Grigoriou

Stelios has over 35 years professional legal experience (Supreme Court and Council of State of Greece). He is an accredited commercial mediator and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, empanelled with WIPO and the Vienna International Arbitration Centre.

He specialises in all matters relating to aviation, shipping and maritime, automobile and railways law. He has represented multinational corporates and governments in a multitude of disputes and provides clear strategic input.

As a heavyweight of the Athens Bar, he has successfully litigated numerous class actions and obtained record damages settlements on behalf of parties. This includes the Chinook air disaster.

Stelios serves an international clientele who have a deep appreciation for the understanding that he brings to challenging legal situations. He is often instructed on an urgent basis and adds considerable value to each individual case.

Stelios holds an LLM from the London School of Economics and trained with the ICC Institute (New York) in arbitration. He is a published author and has numerous reported contributions to the ‘International Comparative Law Guide.’ He has been invited to speak at several global conferences on trade.

Stelios is a member of EFILA (European Federation of Investment Law Arbitration) and the International Bar Association. He is a fluent speaker of French.

Stelios was legal counsel for the Greek Olympic Committee for the Athens 2004 games.
